Catskill Art Space
Livingston Manor, New York
Housed in a former 1930s-era movie theatre, the Catskill Art Space serves as an important cultural hub for the small town of Livingston Manor in upstate New York. The extensive renovation of the building created a new gallery and exhibition space on the building’s second floor. A new stair and elevator were added to ensure the building would be accessible to all visitors. On the main level, the existing window openings were enlarged to allow passers-by to view the gallery spaces from the public sidewalk. In addition to displaying the works of world-renowned artists, CAS also serves the community by hosting art classes and other programs for the public.
